Pants for Work That Won't Break the Bank

Affordable yet stylish dress pants are a staple in every working woman's wardrobe. I've rounded up some of my favorite work pants for midsized woman that are affordable options for all. I'm 5'7" and am typically a size 12/14. In tops I'm between a size Large and XL.

Navy Blue Pants I love a good, neutral colored pant. These high-waisted draw string pants (referred to as cigarette pants) and a great (and comfortable) option for woman with a larger midsection. The crease in the front draws your eyes in and elongates your look. I paired these pants with a floral button down shirt, but this would look great with sweaters or jean jacket layers.

White Jeans White jeans are a timeless piece that everyone needs in their wardrobe! Straight and flared white denim is super in right now, but don't get rid of your white skinny jeans just yet! I am loving these paired with a bold colored top and heels for a super dressed up look. Add a leather jacket and some black heels or booties for night time and you have a perfect date night outfit. I am in a size 14.

Pull on black pants My all time favorite dress pants are my plain, black pull on dress pants. They are high waisted and keep me feeling structured and contained, but also look great layered under tunics and long shirts. I'm in a size 12 here.

These pants are a good classic! Olive color never goes out of style and can be styled so many different ways. These straight leg pants look good with heels, booties, sandals, and mules. They're button up and can be worn with a belt. I'm in a size 12.

The most comfortable dress pants I own are these pull on drawstring knit pants. They come in a few neutral colors. They look so chic but are literally so comfortable that they feel like sweatpants. These also come in a leather pant option. I'm in a size large and they are such a comfortable fitting pant.

I love a good trouser, they are timeless and easy to style. They look great with about any type of shoe (yes, sneakers included) and are so comfortable. Add a high waist and you double your options for wear--tucked in shirts or longer shirts. These are in an XL and the fit is everything I could dream.
