7 Old Navy Dresses for Summer: Midsize Try-On

"I may get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. I am careful to only recommend products I truly love."

I am a big Old Navy fan! I always find that their pieces fit true to size and they are so affordable. I also love checking out their clearance section because their online returns are almost always 50%-75%. I can find things much cheaper that may be full price elsewhere in the store. That's a huge win for me!

I headed to Old Navy over spring break to try on their new spring dresses!

They have tons of pieces, a variety of lengths and colors that are so bright and get me so excited for warmer weather.

For reference, I am 5' 7". I typically wear a size 12-14 in jeans and a size large in tops and bottoms. My shoe size is 9.5.

Check out all the awesome pieces I found! You can access all of these looks on my link page or on my instagram highlights @this.unfilteredlife.

Printed Sleeveless Tiered Swing Dress- Size Large

This dress is so cute! I loved this pattern. It was thin but not too thin (I could wear this out in the sun with no worries).

I didn't love how the top and straps looked on me, but I think that because I have broader shoulders that it just wasn't flattering on my body, but definitely would be on someone else!

Ruffled Smocked-Bodice Floral Sleeveless Maxi Dress for Women- Size Large tall

I freaking LOVED this dress! I actually tried on a tall and it was perfect! I usually buy jeans in a tall just so they don't fit like capris and tend to do the same in dresses just in case I shrink them in the wash (this happens too often, oops!).

I loved the off the shoulder sleeves. They were snug but not too tight, but they also wouldn't be falling down all day! I could slip my bra straps off to the side if I had to and wouldn't have to worry about then sliding down. I tried this swing dress on with some tan slide on sandals and it was so cute, but I think it would look amazing with heels, too!

A light wash denim jacket would look so good with this dress if you needed a jacket. I give this dress a 10/10. The colors are adorable and perfect for spring or summer!

Vintage Striped Slub-Knit T-Shirt Shift Dress- Size XL

This dress is so stinking comfy! I could live in it. I actually have the pink garment dyed tie dye dress and I love it so much I wanted to try on a different pattern. I tried on an XL because I was hoping it'd give me a little more length. Sizing up didn't seem to add any more length but it did give me lots more width.

I liked this dress, especially the neckline, but I had to laugh trying it on because it gave me prison uniform vibes. I guess I watch too much 60 Days in? Anyways, this dress is super comfy and can be dressed up or dressed down by adding a jacket, heels, booties, etc. I will be in love with the T shirt swing dresses from Old Navy forever.

Lace-Up Twill Shift Dress- Size Large

This dress is super cute and is definitely something I would wear to work or a night out. It has "walking by the water vibes"...is that a thing? It is now. The lace up detail is so cute and will always give me a nautical vibe.

This dress was a bit tight in the chest area but had good length. The sleeves are a great length. I did like that this wasn't see through even though it was white. The material is super comfortable, too!

Waist-Defined Tie-Dye Stripe Midi Dress for Women Size Large

This dress is so cute! It was true to size and comfortable with lots of room. The garment dyed colors are adorable and this pink definitely gives me all the spring feels!

I loved the length of this dress as well as the slit on the side. I really liked how it is defined in the waist as well. So cute and comfy! Another piece that be dressed up or dressed down. I paired this midi dress with slide on sandals, but I think it would look super cute with wedges, too. This would be a perfect dress for vacation.

Vintage Garment-Dyed Midi T-Shirt Dress for Women- Size XL

Another Garment-Dyed dress, what can I say, I'm obsessed! This color is amazing! It is springy but a little muted. Honestly, this color is super on brand for me, so I'm not surprised that I love it!

I sized up to an XL but didn't need to. I just wanted it to have a looser fit. Sizing up did not add much length. I am loving the mid-length dresses, especially the t shirt dress. This is a perfect vacation dress. The slit up the side is adorable, too and makes this dress a bit more spacious.

Sleeveless Tiered Swing Dress for Women- Size Large

This is the perfect Easter dress! It is a sweet tiered swing dress. This dress comes in white and orange. This dress has an under layer which is necessary, but it is still a little see through.

I think this dress is such a spring statement dress and will never go out of style! It was a bit short for my liking, but I tend to find most dresses are just because I'm constantly bending over with my kids and at work!
