How to Style a Boyfriend Cardigan 5 Ways for Fall

A boyfriend cardigan is a cropped sweater or cardigan that is usually knit. The style of this cardigan is one that buttons up in the middle. You can wear a boyfriend cardigan over another top or as the top itself.

You can style a boyfriend cardigan a few different ways and a few different styles. These range from work style to casual street style.

My Details

I am 5’7” tall. I have a rectangular body type. I wear a size large or XL in tops and a size 12 and 14 and bottoms. I like to draw attention to my legs, draw attention away from my lower stomach and hip area.

If you are wondering about finding out your body type, check out my blog post on how to find out your body type with or without measuring.

Boyfriend cardigan all over print skirt black

This is such an easy transitional look from summer to fall. The pattern skirt it’s great for when the weather is still warm.

Midi skirts are so great for so many different outfits. They are a staple for many teacher wardrobes as well. Tucking a boyfriend cardigan into a patterned midi skirt makes the skirt really the focal point of the outfit. Tucking the cardigan in draws eyes upwards towards your waist if that’s an area of your body like to accentuate, too.

You can dress up or dress down this outfit on your shoe choice.

Boyfriend cardigan and distressed mom

This is a great casual outfit for date night or a day on the town. This would look great with a pair of suede booties, too.
